SWISS LIFE

Punctuality

Punctuality is a way to define Swiss life. To integrate the country, it's important to be on time during daily life (to take the train, to have an appointment). This is even a requirement if you want to live and work in Switzerland. It's maybe not a coincidence if Switzerland  is recognized in the watch industry.

Weather

Switzerland has a comfortable climate with no excessive heat, cold or humidity. In Switzerland the climate can vary considerably from one region to another. North of the Alps, the climate is temperate, while south of the Alps it is influenced by the Mediterranean and is much milder. The major differences in altitude have created several regional microclimates. From July to August the daytime temperature range is 18 to 28 °C and from January to February the range is -2 to 7 °C. In spring and autumn, the daytime temperature range is 8 to 15°C. Annual rainfall is above the European average.

Sustainability

It is well known that the Swiss are particularly sustainable and attach a lot of importance to recycling. A consistent recycling, rigid exhaust emissions standards, good waste management, carefully controlled landscape planning and strict conditions for construction projects is just part of our everyday life.
Also, numerous environmentally conscious activities are possible in Switzerland (e.g. assisting with landscape projects, Segway and E-Bike tours etc.)

ZurichBern and Geneva all rank among the world’s top-ten cities for quality of life – with environmental criteria a major factor.
